Camp Days for Kids ages 8-14 – Join kids staying on-site at Bay Leaf Cottages for a one-day or two-day “Day Camp” at Hidden Valley Camp! HVC is Maine’s premier international summer arts camp. Includes the transportation to/from HVC, activities, and lunch. Dates available in August: 1, 3, 4, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 14.
3 Crafts ‘n Culture for Kids with Molly Rau – Foods of China – Learn about regional Chinese cuisines and make traditional dumplings. Join Bay Leaf Cottages’ for this Chinese Culture Program for ages 5-11. 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. $5.00 per child.
5 Crafts ‘n Culture for Kids with Molly Rau – Mid-Coast Maine Culture Program “Theme –Legends and Stories” for ages 5-11. 10-11 a.m. $5.00 per child.
4 Lunch and Learn with Dr. Jane Liedtke – join the fourth in a series of programs about life in China, living and working in China and doing business with China. Session 4: Chinese Language Basics for Business and Travelers 11:00 a.m. thru 1:00 p.m. Cost per person: $15.00 includes lunch & beverage. 1-5 Chinese Language & Culture (Adoptive Families Program) – Daily Mandarin language and Chinese culture learning using “Perfect Sentences” bilingual language cards published by OCDF Publications. View the program details & the registration form.

9-12 Special Focus Week – Birth Families in China (Adoptive Families Program) – explore with documentary filmmaker Dr. Changfu Chang, Dr. Kay Johnson (author of Wanting a Daughter Needing a Son) and daughter Lilly, and Dr. Jane Liedtke (CEO of Our Chinese Daughters Foundation) the realities of searching for and finding birthparents in China. 15 Oktoberfest Dinner Cooking Class – Learn to make a traditional German Oktoberfest dinner with local German chef, Renate Tower. Class limited to 10 persons. Cost per person: $25.00 includes class, dinner, and beverage. 5:30-7:30 p.m. Reservations required.
